Have questions about our trips?

We're here to help.

Running & Training

What race options are typically available on your trips?

Most of our trips offer a range of distances, typically including a Full Marathon, Half Marathon, 10K, and 5K. Specific options vary by destination and race.

How will you know what type of training I need?

After you sign up, you’ll receive a training questionnaire about your current fitness level and running experience. This helps us tailor a training plan that supports your goals and chosen distance.

Do I need to be in shape already to sign up?

No. You can start where you are. A bit of baseline fitness is helpful, but no recent long runs are required. We provide a 3–4 month training program customized to your selected distance and current running level so you feel confident on race day.

What if I get injured during training?

If something comes up, let us know. Coach Noa will adjust your plan and guide you toward safe alternatives to help you stay active and supported.

How much running happens outside race day?

We typically offer two optional shakeout runs to loosen up, explore parts of the route, and shake out travel fatigue.

Group Experience & Vibes

How many people will be on a typical trip?

Group sizes vary by destination, but trips are intentionally kept small to foster connection and flexibility.

Is this solo-friendly?

Yes. Our trips are designed to be very solo-friendly and attract outdoorsy, active people who enjoy shared experiences alongside personal downtime.

Can I book with a friend or partner?

Absolutely. Our groups include a mix of solo travelers, couples, and small friend groups. We’ll help you choose the best room setup.

Who else will be on the trip?

Expect a mix of solo travelers and small friend groups, typically in their 30s to 50s, though all adults 18+ are welcome.

I’m introverted. Will I fit in?

Yes. The group dynamic is welcoming and balanced, with plenty of optional downtime built in.

Will we have free time?

Yes. Each itinerary blends structured activities with open time to rest, explore, or recharge.

Is this trip LGBTQ+ friendly?

Yes. All travelers are welcome.

Why are trips adults-only?

Our itineraries are built around physical activity, long days, and structured group programming. To keep the experience cohesive and comfortable, trips are for adults 18 and older.

Pricing, Payments & Policies

How is pricing structured?

Trip pricing typically includes accommodations, activities, group experiences, running support, and items listed in the itinerary.

What’s included and not included?

Each trip page includes a clear, itemized list of what’s included and what’s not. Flights and race entry are typically booked separately.

What is the payment schedule?

A 25% deposit is due at booking. Remaining balances are due by the date listed on the trip page.

What is the cancellation policy?

Deposits are non-refundable unless we cancel the trip or the minimum group size is not met. Cancellations made more than 90 days prior to departure are 50% refundable. Cancellations made 61–90 days prior to departure are 25% refundable. No refunds will be available within 60 days of departure.

Is there a minimum group size?

Yes. Trips require a minimum number of participants to operate. Once the minimum is met, we’ll notify you so you can confidently book flights and race entries.

Planning & Customization

Can you help me extend my trip before or after a Paces & Places experience?

Yes. We’re happy to help with early arrivals, extended stays, or additional travel through Get Uncomfy, whether you’d like to continue exploring the host country or travel onward elsewhere.

Should I get travel insurance?

Travel insurance is not required, but we strongly recommend it. We can help you secure a personalized plan through Faye to protect against cancellations, delays, and medical needs.

Safety, Health & Special Considerations

Are vaccinations required?

Requirements vary by destination. We recommend checking official guidance and speaking with a travel nurse if needed.

What if I have food allergies or medical concerns?

We collect dietary and medical information in advance and do our best to accommodate individual needs.

Is it safe to travel on these trips?

Yes. We choose destinations and partners carefully and prioritize traveler safety throughout the experience.
